In the light of the recent debuting of South Korean tech giant latest flagship, the Galaxy s10, Samsung officials have revealed more specific cryptocurrency wallet functions for the South Korean tech giant’s new flagship.
In a recent report published on 25 February, South Korean Tech giant, Samsung announced the crypto partners for its new Galaxy S10 series smartphone and stated that it will offer wallet functions for Ethereum (ETH), Bitcoin (BTC), and two other digital tokens.
This insight was giving by one of Samsung official during the Mobile World Congress which was hosted in Barcelona, Spain on February 25. Before now, late last week cryptomarketingworld had previously reported how the Samsung Galaxy S10 will ship with private cryptocurrency key storage which is called Cold storage.
Specifically, Samsung is said to have announced a series of different blockchain and cryptocurrency-related projects for the Galaxy S10. Perhaps most notably, the phone will supposedly include support for Bitcoin, Ethereum, along with Cosmee’s token (Cosmo Coin) and Enjin Coin.
COSMEE is a blockchain-enabled mobile beauty decentralized app (DApp) where users can earn and spend COSM tokens. Enjin can reportedly be used to send and receive ERC-20 tokens and ERC-1155 crypto game assets and has a cryptocurrency wallet which will reportedly be installed in the new Galaxy S10.
In addition to this, there is speculation that this could allow users to add new cryptocurrency tokens provided these are based on the ERC20 token standard, since the new flagship will come with a ERC-20 compatibility.
However, it remains to be seen whether Samsung indeed announces support for all ERC20 tokens. Nevertheless, the fact that support for Bitcoin, Ethereum, Enjin Coin and Cosmee has already been confirmed is impressive all on its own.
